TapMapp is a daily geography game operated by Duval Technology ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information TapMapp collects, why, and how it is handled. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the game.
You can play TapMapp completely anonymously — no account, no sign-in. When you play this way:
TapMapp offers an optional Google sign-in so you can save results across devices and play in friend groups with a shared leaderboard. Sign-in is handled by Supabase Auth using Google OAuth. If you choose to sign in, we receive and store:
We do not receive your Google password. We request only basic profile and email permissions — nothing else from your Google account.
TapMapp relies on a small number of third-party services to function:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Your results and profile are private by default. When you join a group, the other members of that group can see your display name, profile picture, daily score, and streak. They cannot see your email address. Access is enforced at the database level (row-level security).
Anonymous (localStorage) data lives only on your device — clearing your browser storage removes it. For account data, you can sign out at any time. To delete your account and all associated data (results and group memberships), contact us at the email below and we will remove it.
TapMapp is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page.
